Hey there All,

It's been a while since I last post anything here. Something happened that caused me to stop writing. Too personal to share though. Hope you guys don't mind.

Iron Speaker for iPod

This is a rather funny gadget. An iron-shaped speaker for iPod? :P. Whomever designed this speaker must be sooo in love with ironing. Iron on an iPod? Maybe it should be called as "iRon" instead. Hey, it doesn't sound so bad afterall. (Anyone interested in the name? ;)

Anyway, since it is pretty cheap (you can get it for $10), I recommend you to just buy it, just for the heck fun of it. This Iron Speaker mimics the controls on a real iron where they are shaped like a steam button, and there's also a dial for settings. And guess what? There's even a cable which has two completely useless protrusions at the end to resemble a standard three-prong wall plug. This is so funny :P

Engadget mentioned that you also get an alarm clock whose face is on the bottom of the unit, as well as an FM radio with antenna built into that strange cable.

The Iron Speaker is available in three colors - pink, lime and orange.

Limited Edition Microsoft Pink Zune

Could you believe that this Pink Zune is already in the market? Reallyyy?Uh oh. No. Not exactly. False alarm. According to ZuneInfo, apparently Microsoft has only put 100 of these out in the wild, complete with a certificate stating just that.

"One lucky shopper managed to pick one up at Circuit City and has now put it up for sale on eBay." So, I guess you could either hunt down the 99 Pink Zunes left (probably) or you could go all out in the bidding war on eBay.

According to ZuneInfo, so far the bidding on Ebay is up to: $380.99 (Good luck Pink Zune chasers!)

New Hasbro i-Dog Musical Companion for iPod and MP3 Players

The i-Dog has been updated with new features for the 2006 holidays by Hasbro. One of them is that this playful, palm-sized robot puppy reacts to music now without connecting a cable to them.

There are many ways to get the i-Dog to react to music it hears:

Summit Technology has reinvented the good ol' frame to become a Digital Photo Frame (or Album). Thumbs up for Summit! The 7-inch TFT LCD number is available in white, wood effect, clear and Pink. Did I hear pink? That's a double thumbs up for Summit ;)

According to Summit, "The model's other features include onscreen menu, built-in Dolby (AC-3) decoder, NTSC/PAL video conversion output and eight-language support. The unit has a MMC, SD, MS, CF, SMC, Micro drive card reader. The minimum order requirement is 500 days, and delivery is in 25 days."

What can I say, this phone is a must-buy for every girls! And a perfect gift for Christmas. ShinyShiny attended this Samsung Blush launch and has done a great review on this phone. To add the 'Zing' factor, Samsung Blush comes packaged up with a selection of Benefit goodies. Yay!

And as you could've guessed the launch was done in a style ala day spa / beauty parlour, where attendees were treated to eyebrow waxes and mini-makeovers whilst learning about the phone. Blush should be thought of as a music device with all the benefits of a mobile phone, rather than the other way around.

ShinyShiny reported that "the music player is the big plus, very iPod like with a click wheel for navigation and easy to use menus. There's also an 'offline' mode that'll turn off all phone functions so you can use it purely as a music player on planes and other non-phone-friendly areas. Internal memory is 1gb, sadly there's no card slot to increase that, but when you think it already has double the memory of an iPod shuffle, it'll still hold a good number of songs."

"The camera is a respectable 1.3 megapixels with an automatic flash, and the phone itself is lipstick sized, bright pink and easy to slip into your handbag. "

Unfortunately, there's a down-side to this excellent Blush: The new keypad layout of two rows instead of three would probably make frequent texters think twice before purchasing Blush. However with a style to die for, I think a lot of them would decide to give in ;)

GadgetCandy mentioned that the "Samsung's Blushin' box set will feature £50 worth of Benefit goodies. Think a Georgia palette, a silky lip cream, lush eye shadows and a Hollywood Glo body balm, all tucked inside a chic cosmetic bag. CNET Reviews mentioned that this Kodak's newest design the V705, goes back to the V570's lens combo, upping the sensor to a 7.1-megapixel CCD, adding a few features, and offering three colors: Silver Essence, Midnight Black, and Absolute Pink (of course :D). Image quality from the V705 is decent for a camera of its class. As usual with Kodak, colors looked very accurate and well saturated.

This world's smallest ultra-wide-angle zoom lens camera, with a 5x optical zoom range is priced at $349.95. And according to ShinyShiny Kodak will be donating $25 of that to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $10,000.

Motorola had partnered with Dolce & Gabbana to produce special blinged-out version of the Motorola Razr V3i. This Razr V3i D&G is clad in a bright gold skin and features D&G-themed wallpapers and ring tones. You'll also get a gold D&G dangle that attaches to your handset. According to CNET Reviews, this phone is more for fashionistas rather than gadget-fiends.

Other than the obvious dangle, the V3i D&G is no different from previous members of the Razr family. "It has the same dimensions as its V3i siblings (3.9 x 2.1 x 0.54 inches) and the same weight (3.5 ounces). The external and internal displays, the navigation controls and the keypad are similar as well. "

"The feature set on the V3i D&G also is unchanged. The handset says 'Dolce & Gabbana' when you turn it on and off. However, there are no D&G games. It only comes with Java (J2ME) titles: Asphalt Urban GT, Bejewled, and Solitaire.

Since Motorola is well known as the company that started the thin phone revolution and gave the world the first gadget in bright pink, it shouldn't be a surprise if this Motorola Razr V3i Dolce & Gabbana will come in pink in the near future. Or is Pink just too hot for a Dolce & Gabbana perhaps?

This pink cyclops is a Voice Messenger called Belle. She takes down your message and then relays it when someone sets off her motion detector. Which means that once you've recorded your ten-second message (that's all you get, according to ShinyShiny), the echo bot will play it back to the next person to walk past.

You can wrap her bendy legs around a leg chair, or use her suction cups to place her on a window. Belle is battery-operated, retailed at £9.95 and also comes in orange too. I couldn't agree more with TechieDiva who says that among other toys that sit on our desks, at least this one has got something to do besides taking up space.

Thin is all the rage. This has got to be the slimmest mouse ever!
Aving.net Usa reported (based on Aving.net Korea Special report) that Samsung presented 8mm-thick slim mouse at Korea Electronics Show (KES) 2006.

This slim mouse measures 40 X 95 X 8mm with a wheel that moves from right to left unlike the existing mouse. With LED light, it has 5 buttons and semi-automatic cable winder. It is expected to be used for UMPC or notebook pc.

There is however, no word on how sensitive the mouse is. EverythingUSB expected it to be around 800 dpi. Aving.net also does not say what is the recommended retal price for this mouse.

I've never thought that anyone would go to the extent of dressing a PC mouse in pink. So, it's awesome that someone actually produce a Pink PC mouse. Yay!

This Swarovski-strass-stones-covered mouse (yes, you read that right - Swarovski) is designed by Kare Design and will be in stock on Friday 22 December, 2006, as mentioned on Kare Design website.

LG Chocolate Now in Pink

This popular slider phone, Chocolate, from Korean consumer electronics giant, LG, which has won numerous design awards, is now available in Pink as model LG-SV590. It still sports the same features, of course, including a camera, a 2-inch QVGA screen and 512MB of memory. Though seems contradictory (Pink for a 'Chocolate'?), this news has received rave response from the public.

According to CNet.com.au, it is curently released in Australia for a recommended retail price of AU$649. There's no word on the release date as yet in the US, but this model is expected to roll out in Europe sometime in Early May 2007.

Good Ol' Scrabble Turned Pink

A little site surfing today made me stumble upon the glamorous Special Edition Pink Scrabble on Breakthrough. Everything has the pink touch from box to board and tile to tile bag. As described by Breakthrough, even the striking red Scrabble logo has turned a shade of fushia for the first time since its creation.

This makeover aims to raise funds for Breakthrough in lieu of the Breast Cancer Awareness Program with a £1.50 donation from the sale of each game set (Recommended Retail Price is around £15).

Yup, the good ol' scrabble now comes in pink. You can now smile from ear to ear. Go Get it now.

Update: Upon further research on the internet, I came upon a comment from one reviewer whom dissappointingly mentioned that the tiles for this Special Edition Pink Scrabble is smaller than the spaces on the board, so the game will end up looking scruffy as it's difficult to keep the words aligned neatly.

Can somebody confirm this?

My name's Rina. And I absolutely love pink to death. I just can't understand girls (and boys) who hate the color pink. What? Boys shouldn't be wearing pink? That is sooo last season.
