Apple iPhone Smartphone

Christmas is just about a month away. And if you're still wondering what to get for your loved ones (or maybe even for yourself :)), it might be a good idea to get them a Pink iPhone! Yes!

Errmm, but the thing is.. you couldn't just buy them off the shelf . Not to worry though. Just head off to ColorwarePC to get your iPhone painted pink for you. You can either buy them online of call 888-452-6567. I just love their 'cotton candy', 'romance' and the metallic 'blush' paint colors.

Well, if you don't fancy pink (why?), you can choose the other 23 colors that they offer to customize your iPhone.

The parts of the phone that is 'paintable' are:
- The Back
- The Bottom
- The Frame
- The Button
- The Logo
- The Earbuds
- The Docks

The price of painting your iPhone to your favourite color can range from $159 to $229.

LaCie Huby - Stylish New USB and Firewire Hub

Here's another non-pink gadget news that must be told to the whole wide world. Lo and behold, LaCie have released a very stylish looking USB and Firewire hub called the ‘Huby’ (pronounced as ‘hub-ee’). Huby’s round shape, glossy white polycarbonate finish, and flexible cables give it a distinctive, modern look. It's a no wonder that Huby is designed exclusively for LaCie by Ora-Ïto, an established and well known designer.

ITWire mentioned that the "Huby looks like a futuristic digital vase with cables protruding out of the top half. When connected together, it looks like the image above, but as you can see from the image below it comes in pieces, with the hub itself, a then the half-sphere top half through which the different cables emerge."

"Huby comes with a USB fan, USB light, USB extension cable and a Firewire 400 extension cable, with the extension cables designed to make it easier to connect hard drives, printers, keyboards, scanners and more. But smaller devices like USB Flash drives, Bluetooth adapters or small mp3 players like the original iPod Shuffle can conceivably just plug straight in and appear as the digital equivalent of flowers."

"Each port has its own glowing LED to indicate when a device is plugged in, with a different 8 colours in total: white, violet, green, red, yellow, orange, blue and pink. You can also daisy-chain additional LaCie Hubys via FireWire or USB for extra connectivity options."

According to LaCie, you can add 4 USB ports and 2 FireWire ports to your computer system and connect up to six devices simultaneously.

This stylish USB and Firewire Hub can be used on either PC or Mac.
The Huby retails at $79.99.

Iron Speaker for iPod

This is a rather funny gadget. An iron-shaped speaker for iPod? :P. Whomever designed this speaker must be sooo in love with ironing. Iron on an iPod? Maybe it should be called as "iRon" instead. Hey, it doesn't sound so bad afterall. (Anyone interested in the name? ;)

Anyway, since it is pretty cheap (you can get it for $10), I recommend you to just buy it, just for the heck fun of it. This Iron Speaker mimics the controls on a real iron where they are shaped like a steam button, and there's also a dial for settings. And guess what? There's even a cable which has two completely useless protrusions at the end to resemble a standard three-prong wall plug. This is so funny :P

Engadget mentioned that you also get an alarm clock whose face is on the bottom of the unit, as well as an FM radio with antenna built into that strange cable.

The Iron Speaker is available in three colors - pink, lime and orange.

Hey, why not surprise your dry cleaners or housekeeper this holiday season with this Iron Speaker? :)

New Hasbro i-Dog Musical Companion for iPod and MP3 Players

The i-Dog has been updated with new features for the 2006 holidays by Hasbro. One of them is that this playful, palm-sized robot puppy reacts to music now without connecting a cable to them.

There are many ways to get the i-Dog to react to music it hears:

1. Try sitting i-Dog in front of a speaker, or
2. Use his own built-in speaker, or
3. Plug him into the headphone jack of an iPod or other MP3 player.

SharperImage described that "After a few seconds of music, his face lights up, ears wag and head tilts in sync with the beat. i-Dog also can be expressive without music, staying animated even after the music stops."
Oh yeah, you need to tweak his tail to mute sounds when using his built-in speaker.
What I love about this i-Dog is the blinking LEDs on his face that shows the expression of i-Dog's four moods: "agitated" when listening to rock and rap music; "pleased" when you're playing him country and classical; "delighted" from pop and R&B numbers; and "excited" when it comes to dance music!
The i-Dog is compatible with most portable music devices including iPod, Discman and Rio. Besides Pink, i-Dog is also available in Blue, Black, White and Dalmation.

SharperImage is selling the i-Dog for $29.95

I have never seen anything like it. The crystal job on this DS Lite is stunning. And so, this is a shout out to all Swarovski Crystals freaks (and I mean it in a good way, by the way). Go get this stunning Pink Swarovski Crystal Nintendo DS Lite!

Shinyshiny reported that there are over 1,200 crystals on each limited edition console, all in varying shades of Pink of course. A note to Londoners: Shinyshiny also mentioned that you'll be able to find them at the Multipazz boutique in Central London, where they're selling for £360.

And.. can you believe that the design was apparently inspired by Paris Hilton? I guess, she's not that bad after all :P

Amadana Portable DVD Player VP-110

Once again PinkGagdet goes out of its way to report a non-pink gadget, as a result of seeing this sleek old-school-looking Amadana Portable DVD Player from Realfleet Co. Ltd.

This DVD player is made of natural material, laminated bamboo, and equipped with a flat-touch panel. Amadana explains that "Laminated bamboo creates a natural texture that cannot be produced with paint. By carbonizing the bamboo before laminating, a subtle difference is created in each section of bamboo. The difference in color creates a unique natural feeling when the bamboo is laminated. You can feel how different it is from other products that are painted, and this texture cannot be created with metal or plastic."

"It is equipped with 10-inch-wide LCD; the largest among the portable types. Able to display TFT Active Matrix 1,150,000 pixels with progressive scanning. With a large, high-definition LCD, you can enjoy the beautiful images even with a portable."

Some other features:
- supports the Dolby Digital sound system
- equipped with an SD memory card slot
- equipped with 6 input-output terminals
- equipped with 2 headphone terminals

There's also a leather case available to protect this portable DVD Player. Unfortunately, like the player, the casing is also NOT available in pink. (colors available: dark brown, red, yellow, beige).

Let's hope Realfleet gets this message, and produce a Pink Amadana Portable DVD Player, or at least make the leather case available in pink :D

Will report to you some more, if there's updates on this!

Pink Samsung Blush SGH-x830 With Benefit

What can I say, this phone is a must-buy for every girls! And a perfect gift for Christmas. ShinyShiny attended this Samsung Blush launch and has done a great review on this phone. To add the 'Zing' factor, Samsung Blush comes packaged up with a selection of Benefit goodies. Yay!

And as you could've guessed the launch was done in a style ala day spa / beauty parlour, where attendees were treated to eyebrow waxes and mini-makeovers whilst learning about the phone. Blush should be thought of as a music device with all the benefits of a mobile phone, rather than the other way around.

ShinyShiny reported that "the music player is the big plus, very iPod like with a click wheel for navigation and easy to use menus. There's also an 'offline' mode that'll turn off all phone functions so you can use it purely as a music player on planes and other non-phone-friendly areas. Internal memory is 1gb, sadly there's no card slot to increase that, but when you think it already has double the memory of an iPod shuffle, it'll still hold a good number of songs."

"The camera is a respectable 1.3 megapixels with an automatic flash, and the phone itself is lipstick sized, bright pink and easy to slip into your handbag. "

Unfortunately, there's a down-side to this excellent Blush: The new keypad layout of two rows instead of three would probably make frequent texters think twice before purchasing Blush. However with a style to die for, I think a lot of them would decide to give in ;)

GadgetCandy mentioned that the "Samsung's Blushin' box set will feature £50 worth of Benefit goodies. Think a Georgia palette, a silky lip cream, lush eye shadows and a Hollywood Glo body balm, all tucked inside a chic cosmetic bag. And if you're no good at face painting, then head over to your nearest Benefit Beauty Bar and present the 'Make Upper' card also included in the package to redeem your free slap session. The Samsung Blush will be available exclusive to Orange from 1 November. It comes free on all 12 month contracts over £30 or £179.99 on Pay As You Go."

What say you? Must have or just another fad?

Motorola Razr V3i Dolce & Gabbana

Motorola had partnered with Dolce & Gabbana to produce special blinged-out version of the Motorola Razr V3i. This Razr V3i D&G is clad in a bright gold skin and features D&G-themed wallpapers and ring tones. You'll also get a gold D&G dangle that attaches to your handset. According to CNET Reviews, this phone is more for fashionistas rather than gadget-fiends.

Other than the obvious dangle, the V3i D&G is no different from previous members of the Razr family. "It has the same dimensions as its V3i siblings (3.9 x 2.1 x 0.54 inches) and the same weight (3.5 ounces). The external and internal displays, the navigation controls and the keypad are similar as well. "

"The feature set on the V3i D&G also is unchanged. Among the highlights are Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a digital music player with support for iTunes, Bluetooth, a MicroSD card slot, a speakerphone, basic organizer functions, text and multimedia messaging, and support for IMAP4 and POP3 e-mail. Overall, the feature set is admirable, though we're still not fans of the iTunes/Motorola marriage that has myriad, built-in restrictions. Photo quality was average for a megapixel camera. "

The handset says 'Dolce & Gabbana' when you turn it on and off. However, there are no D&G games. It only comes with Java (J2ME) titles: Asphalt Urban GT, Bejewled, and Solitaire.

Since Motorola is well known as the company that started the thin phone revolution and gave the world the first gadget in bright pink, it shouldn't be a surprise if this Motorola Razr V3i Dolce & Gabbana will come in pink in the near future. Or is Pink just too hot for a Dolce & Gabbana perhaps?

Voice Messenger Echo Bot

This pink cyclops is a Voice Messenger called Belle. She takes down your message and then relays it when someone sets off her motion detector. Which means that once you've recorded your ten-second message (that's all you get, according to ShinyShiny), the echo bot will play it back to the next person to walk past.

You can wrap her bendy legs around a leg chair, or use her suction cups to place her on a window. Belle is battery-operated, retailed at £9.95 and also comes in orange too. I couldn't agree more with TechieDiva who says that among other toys that sit on our desks, at least this one has got something to do besides taking up space.

Hey, the toy speaks like you. How cool is that?

iSoundCap Running Hat for IPod Nano

Yahoo Finance reported that iSoundCap Inc will be releasing the new running hat for iPod Nano, called iSoundCap. Made using lightweight and breathable fabric, this cap had been specifically designed for runners, and it is also compatible with the Nike+iPod kit. The iSoundCap allows runners to place their iPod in the cap where the wires are neatly tucked away inside the cap making their running experience virtually wire-free. Unlike the usual armband or belt clip that goes with the Nike+iPod Kit that leaves wires hanging and in the way.

"In a recent press conference Steve Jobs CEO of Apple said, 'Apple has sold 450,000 Nike+iPod Sport Kits in less than 90 days since their introduction. The kits provide connectivity between the iPod Nano and Nike running shoes.'"

"Karl Foust, CEO of iSoundCap Inc. says, 'When runners try our new caps we are sure they will find it a better way to carry their iPod while training.'"

Since the complete lineup will include colors matching the new iPod Nano 2nd Generation, this means that this hat/cap is available in pink. Great!
